About 10 years ago, I created an image called Ultimate Temptation. I still use that image in some of my promotional materials and it's dear to me for many reasons. So I wanted to revisit that old painting and release a new version as a celebration of creating digital art for the past 10 years.
On another note, spring is officially here, and It would be nice to have something cheerful to look at.
As far as technicalities go, It took many, many hours of painting. Every flower and leaf was painted seperately, which resulted in cramped knuckles on my hand and blurred vision :(
I had to keep the number of layers down to around 10 because the size of the image is quite large (9000x7500) and my machine was having a hard time handling the file. In the process, I've used many references in all aspects of the painting, but mostly for the apple blossoms.
Well, I am glad it is done and I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed painting it.
